Shopping made easy

The fast paced city, Mumbai. The city of dreams, opportunity, love and a life. But it also brings along long working hours and if not that then long traveling hours definitely.
With such hectic and busy schedule people although are able to bring back do waqt ki roti but time for family is hardly achieved. Even if that's achieved than going out on shopping is a luxury.

Thanks to e-commerce sector that problem is solved with a click. I am out of house for approx 14 to 15 hours which includes work and travel and sometimes work demands working weekends too. Being an elder sister I of course ought to bring my kiddy brother something or the other. It’s not a compulsion but a feel good factor when my bro asks me for something or if I wanna buy him that football or sneakers or jersey, that puzzle game or a soft fluffy football alag se. The list is long, occasions are many but time is way less to spend on shopping.

I still remember the day when Flipkart delivery came and I asked my brother only to open the door and sign for it. He was clueless but that was my surprise for him; Rubik's cube, a Birthday gift for him. His happiness was palpable.

Even for me, the thought of toys whether its my priced possession/s from my childhood, the happy meal toys for which I still fight with my friends and say you eat the meal but every toy shall come to my kitty; the batman toys, quirky key chains, hot wheel cars or the clothes etc etc., online shopping has made my life easy.

Now we even have an option for cash on delivery. If someone at home like something and not comfortable with the idea of advance payment, the option of cash on delivery is always there.

When this Saturday I was invited to witness the launch of ‘Flipkart Li’l Stars – India’s Biggest Online Kids Store’ at Blue Frog, Mumbai; I was delighted. As kids we have always had a fascination with the name "Disney" and now Mattel, Chhota Bheem too and when they are coming to the event to take you through the Children and their world there is nothing more than that. We all have a kid inside and more so it was a great interactive session for parent bloggers. Ms Kalpana Behara was also there for the “Questions and debates" session to answer for the what's in the mind of a parent blogger and what & how to buy for a kid.

Post panel discussion "Blunder in the Code", our in house Indi band performed #Unplugged. Who's the person behind Rakshasi mask Indi? Anyway Music is always fun.

Then we had "Ad-Mad" wherein we were divided in groups of around 10 members. We were, I guess 7 teams. We had to come up with a concept to make a fun, creative ad using toys from Flipkart newly launched kid's store which we could relate to and sell them. It was a fun activity and the best thing was that we won the competition too.

Finally we had a groupie of all the bloggers on the last Indi-Blogger's meet of the year 2015. We bid adieu to all and walked away with a cute soft toy"Chota Bheem" jo chala Himalaya; a beautiful gift by Flipkart.
