Kerala Floods

On 14th August 2018, Kerala received heavy rainfall with a 310 mm rainfall in first 24 hours resulting in dams reaching their capacity. Several dams were consequently opened causing flood specially affecting low lying areas.

Due to flooding and continuous rains people have lost their home and belongings. Also, there is huge risk of them contracting water borne diseases and otherwise. It is time to come together and do our best for them. 


What you can do?

We can not reach there or help them like Defense and Government are doing but can definitely play our part by way of online contribution. I am trying to collate all the options possible for us to help build Kerala again.

These sites may go down sometimes so you need to have little patience. Via Amazon and Big Basket you can send items directly which you can select from the wish list provided by these two sites while in case of other two you can support via money.

In addition to above four there are many pick up centers coming up city wise where you can donate your things which will be arranged to be taken to Kerala by those centers for flood affected people. 

I will be adding more details on such centers or if I come across any other options for donation on my twitter handle in this thread. Requesting all who are reading this to share this post and/or reply on my twitter thread on any reliable source you come across (if possible).
